SURGERY IS COMPLETE!!! They did the most important procedure and spay. They did nothing with the hernia repair because they truly feel it's secondary to the first issue they repaired today and wasn’t sliding around when they were in there. 2 hrs time for surgery and she's starting to wake up from anesthesia. No news is good news between now and the am when the next update comes. The first 5 days are going to be the most critical so keep those good vibes and prayers coming her way! 🙏💕🐾💕🙏
Within 3-4 weeks if everything goes according to plan with recovery she can be transitioning to regular kibble and eat like a normal dog! We are so excited for her for that time!

Female Merle French Bulldog
Nova and some of her litter mates were born with Pyloric Stenosis; the breeder was going to have them euthanized. Since Nova didn't seem as severe as the others, they tried to manage her but the others had already been euthanized. Two weeks went by before the breeder tried finding a rescue or home to take her, but then decided to euthanize her. Thankfully, Tracy Ann rescued her on Sunday evening March 13th and brought her to the vet right away.
It's been 3 exhausting days of vet visits, examinations, x-rays, ultrasounds, blood draws, UA’s, and looking into the breeder's past vet records. We've learned there is much more to Nova's condition than initially disclosed.
Nova's Estimated vet bill is $10,000
Diagnosed with:
- Severe Pyloric Stenosis
- Hiatal Hernia-Stomach Distention (her stomach is herniating into her esophagus)
- Gastroenteritis
Nova will need surgical intervention. Without it she will need to be euthanized. Due to the severity of her medical issues this surgery will not only be a big procedure but an expensive one. We want nothing more than to give Nova the life she deserves.
